Of late, my Instagram feed has been filling up with envy-inducing shots of Greek islands, Croatian coves and Italian cliff-side towns which got me thinking about the holiday destinations which are trending right now. There seems to be a handful of places everyone is talking about and everyone wants to visit. From the whitewashed island of Santorini to the fairytale landscape of Cappadocia, these are the most fashionable holiday spots in Europe.
Santorini is a place of utter beauty and is without a doubt the most fashionable of all the Greek islands. Long-limbed, floaty-haired girls come to lounge by infinity pools and take in the iconic white buildings which cascade down the mountainside.
Multi-hued buildings tumble down the rocky cliff face providing postcard worthy views over the Italian Riviera. Those who know of the picturesque towns which collectively make up Cinque Terre deem them one of the most beautiful places in Italy.
Hvar is firmly on the travel map as Croatia's trendiest island. Come the summer months it is buzzing with festival-goers and fashionable yachters alike. The adventurous among them venture outside of the idyllic old town to find pine framed coves and pockets of tranquility.
Paris is a longstanding favourite and it's not difficult to see why this fairytale city is Europe's most fashionable capital. Paris has it all: trendy art galleries, iconic view points, designer boutiques, romantic strolls along the Seine, pop-art eclairs and the sparkling Eiffel Tower.
Mykonos is the preferred Greek island for party-goes who spend balmy summer evenings drinking by the beach and dancing late into the night. It has all the charm that Greece is famous for with whitewashed villages, blue-hued church roofs and azure waters.

With a host of big name DJs and fashionable night clubs, the party never stops on this balmy Balearic island. Portofino is a tiny fishing village, small in size yet mighty in reputation. Much of its fame is due to the majestic hotel Belmond Splendido which welcomes a string of celebrity guests every year. This romantic fishing town is the Italian Riviera at its finest with luxury yachts docked in the marina and super cars driving in from the coastal road.
