The brunch scene in Sydney is unbeatable. Many of the cafes boast idyllic settings with ocean views and sun-soaked terraces. Not much beats watching the crashing waves over Bondi Beach whilst feasting on superior brunch fare.
Celsius Coffee Co
Overlooking the water, Celsius is located on a functioning ferry wharf. This is the ultimate Sydney brunch experience: harbourside views, ocean breeze and beautiful dishes. Sadly the secret is out and people will queue for hours for the idyllic setting, not to mention the fluffy waffles topped with berries, maple syrup and peanut butter cream.

Bread & Circus
Bread & Circus is my favourite healthy eatery in all of Sydney. Organic fare is favoured to create hearty and flavourful dishes that will leave your tummy happy and your skin glowing. My favourite dishes are the scrambled eggs on sourdough with truffle oil and avocado and the multi-grain porridge with maple syrup and a dollop of clotted cream.

The Boat House
It doesn’t get any more Australian than the Boat House with its beachside location, sun-drenched terrace and healthy brunch fare served on sky blue crockery. This place had been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, because of their anchor-dusted cappuccinos and antipodean brunch fare and happily it didn’t disappoint.

Concrete Jungle is located along the newly constructed Kensington Street which is a mecca for foodies. Serving up the kind of fare which is more widely found in the beachy suburbs, this cafe is bringing healthy dishes to the city. Their Blue Majik smoothie bowl made with blue green algae and pineapple has become the standout dish to order.

Work up an appetite by swimming laps in the 50-metre outdoor pool and then refuel at the poolside cafe. Think perfectly poached eggs, roasted mushies, crunchy sourdough, superfood smoothie bowls and for those needing a sugar hit, the prettiest banana bread you ever did see.

Glebe is buzzing with hip cafes, but none of them beat The Wedge. I had one of my favourite brunches in Sydney at this hole-in-the-wall spot. Order the breakfast plate which comes with dukkah crusted poached eggs, wilted kale, roasted mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, feta, avocado and your choice of quinoa and sourdough. It is epic.
